“I ordered a new duvet cover from a company that I saw advertised in Better Homes and Gardens. When my order came today with a handwritten thank you note, I was informed that my purchase allowed the company to donate one duvet and sham set to

Crane & Canopy partnered with the non-profit Safe Horizon to give the gift of a safe and comfortable night’s sleep. Until May 31, 2013, for every duvet cover and sham set purchased, Crane & Canopy donated a duvet cover, sham set and comforter to a woman affected by domestic violence and abuse: “When our customers buy, we give.”

WOMEN’S ADVOCATESThe DVEA team works on projects with St Paul’s
Women’s Advocates, the first shelter in the country for battered women.
In December, 2012, the drive for Target gift cards resulted in twenty-five $50. gift cards for women staying in the shelter over Christmas.

In May, Women’s Advocates, our local St Paul women’s shelter, is holding a fund-raising luncheon to be held on Thursday, May 23. The DVEA Team would love to welcome anyone reading this to attend the luncheon, both as an introduction to the shelter, and to members of the DVEA Team of St Cecilia’s.
