St C’s Projects: Women’s Advocates-plus!
DVEA team member, Linda Savedra, has passed along this suggestion from a St Cecilia’s parishioner:
“I ordered a new duvet cover from a company that I saw advertised in Better Homes and Gardens. When my order came today with a handwritten thank you note, I was informed that my purchase allowed the company to donate one duvet and sham set to Safe Horizons, a domestic violence shelter. It was such a wonderful surprise. Read more about the Crane & Canopy/Safe Horizons partnership here

Crane & Canopy partnered with the non-profit Safe Horizon to give the gift of a safe and comfortable night’s sleep. Until May 31, 2013, for every duvet cover and sham set purchased, Crane & Canopy donated a duvet cover, sham set and comforter to a woman affected by domestic violence and abuse: “When our customers buy, we give.”
